THE BUBBLES OF CHAMPAGNE

When I met you at that wine shop that is dry now
I thought I had found a true fruit but now its a forbidden apple
that you were a bubbling bottle of champagne
but you were too tight for the party to sky rocket
we were imperious to the clouds of love that were heavy with rain
as we raised our red flag that there would be one door a tween our hearts

I gave you my innocence for you to know I trusted you
I tried patience to beckon forgiveness to start our new stanza in our song
to dance in awareness so that our emotions would become feelings
in devotion to their sacredness for our freedom from guilt and lost time
that in endless trials we would try to purify this love in quest for fulfillment
but wisdom has a selfish urge to unfurl afraid of unjustified scrutiny
it cooks itself beyond the required temperature...dear love
let me tend your burns for I understand more than you know
do not let bubbles of champagne forever bubble in the bottle..

let the party start with a prayer for peace that is at the peak of release
